This Privacy Policy details the collection, processing and use of your data (including personal data) regarding the access to and use of the website www.biss.hr
Our website also contains and uses links to the sites/services of other companies. These listed companies have their own privacy and cookie policies, so be aware that the data you provide this way will be governed by the rules of these companies. 1.DATA WE COLLECT
Any submission of data, including personal data (for example, downloading some content from our web site or social media ads (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads) or contacting us through the contact form), means that you gave us explicit consent to the processing of personal data, and Biss has the right to retain and use that information to periodically inform you about our products and services until you unsubscribe yourself.
There are three general categories of data we collect.
1.1 Data you give us
- Data required to apply for BISS’s job ads
We search and collect the following personal data in the instances in which you use our site to apply for a job. This data is necessary for the proper implementation of the application process for BISS employment adverts and enables us to fulfil our legal obligations. We do not share this data with third parties apart for exceptional cases and only with your express consent. If you do not provide us with the necessary data, we may not be able to provide you with all the required services.
Submitting a CV when applying for a job is considered explicit consent to the processing of your personal information indicated on the CV, and we will retain that data in our databases in order to contact you in the future when a suitable job position opens.
Application for a job advert- in order to use certain features of our website and BISS’s job advert, we may ask you for additional data, which may include your address, phone number, photos, and profile picture.
- The data you provided
You can also provide us with some additional personal data in the process of applying for our job advert. This additional data is processed based on your explicit consent, as stated in the previous point.
The General Data Protection Regulation has special rules for the processing of “special categories of personal data”, which include particularly sensitive categories of personal data such as religious beliefs, political opinions, racial or ethnic origin, physical or mental health, sexual orientation and the like. BISS does not collect such data. If we required such data, we would need your explicit consent.
1.2 Data we collect automatically during your usage of the BISS website
When you use the BISS website, we automatically collect some data, including personal data, about the services you use and the manner in which you use them. This data is required for the proper execution of relations between you and BISS in order for us to comply with our legal obligations and bearing in mind our legitimate interest in providing and improving our services.

We collect information on your interactions through BISS, such as pages or the content that you browse, your print searches, and other actions on the BISS website.

We automatically collect data and device data logs when you access and use the BISS website. 2. HOW WE USE THE DATA WE COLLECT
We use, store and process data, including personal data, for the purpose of understanding, improving and developing our services, measuring and improving advertising and marketing, creating and maintaining a more reliable and secure environment, fulfilling our legal obligations, and for the purposes of applying for employment ads and establishing contact.
Once again, any submission of data, including personal data, means that you gave us explicit consent to the processing of personal data, and BISS has the right to retain and use that information to periodically inform you about our products and services until you unsubscribe yourself.

BISS may disclose your information, including personal data: to courts, police or government authorities or to authorized third parties to the extent to which we are legally bound by or is legally permitted or if such disclosure is reasonably necessary for: compliance with our legal obligations, legal proceedings and replying to allegations against BISS, complying to certified claims related to criminal investigations, alleged or suspected illegal activity, or any other activity which may hold us or our associates liable for damages, enforcing and managing our Terms of Use or other contracts, or protection of rights, property, or personal safety of BISS, its employees, users or the public.
Where appropriate, we may notify users of such legal claims unless: such notice is forbidden by itself, by a court order or by applicable law, or we consider that the disclosure would be futile, ineffective, create a risk of injury or bodily injury to an individual or group, or would create or increase the risk of fraud against us or our associates. In cases in which we comply with statutory requirements without prior notice, we will attempt to notify the user about the claim once it is completed and when, in good faith, we are not prevented from doing so.

BISS uses different services and third-party service providers (e.g. Google, Facebook, Linkedin, Talentlyft etc.) that help us provide BISS-related services. Some companies that provide us with services can be located outside the European Union. We only allow this if we are satisfied with their level of security in data protection. When you give us your data, keep in mind that it could be uploaded, stored, or processed in a location outside the EEA.
We do not sell your data to anyone and we will never do.
We provide aggregated statistic data and insights that help people and companies understand how people respond to their postings, offers, sites, and other content on and off BISS.
3.4.1 Metrics partners
We share information about you with companies that aggregate them to provide analytical and metrics reports to us and our associates.
3.4.2 Service sellers and providers
We provide data and content to service sellers and providers that support our business, such as providing technical infrastructure services, analysing how our products are used, or conducting surveys and other forms of collaboration.

You have the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning yourself.
6.2 Filing and erasure of data
Generally, we store your personal data to the extent that is necessary for the execution of relations between you and us and in order to honour our legal obligations.
6.3 Submitting of complaints
You have the right to file complaints about data processing activities performed by BISS before the competent data protection agency – the Personal Data Protection Agency.
7. SAFETY
We continually implement and update administrative, technical, and physical security measures in order to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or modification. If you know or have reason to believe that your data has been lost, stolen, misused, or otherwise compromised, or in the event of any actual breach or suspicion of unauthorized use of your data, please contact us immediately.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
BISS reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, in accordance with this provision. In case of amendments to this Policy, we will post the amended Privacy Policy on the BISS website and update the date of last change. If you do not agree with the amended Privacy Policy, you may stop using our website and request erasure of your personal data. If you stop using our site and do not request erasure of your data before the date on which the Privacy Policy comes into force, your further access to and use of our website will be subject to the revised Privacy Policy. COOKIE POLICY
1. What are cookies and tracking technologies?
Cookies are small pieces of data used to store and receive anonymous identifiers and other data about computers, phones, and other devices. Other technologies, including data stored in a web browser or device, device-related identifiers, and other software are used for similar purposes. In this policy, all of these technologies are called “cookies”.
